"Welcome Halau Lokahi Paddling Team!"

On Tuesday, November 13th, New Hope Canoe Club officially welcomed the newest O'ahu Interscholastic Association paddling team to our Sand Island paddling site.

Head Coach Margaret Bush, and the young men and women from "Halau Lokahi" (a public charter school) have been training hard outside of the canoe, and are eagerly looking forward to paddling practice in preparation for their very first regatta on Saturday, January 12th, at Ke'ehi Lagoon.

Newly planted grass, newly planted canoe club.

The grass is certainly greener where it is watered and cared for.

Best Wishes Halau Lokahi Padding Team!

"Help Needed For Ash Scattering This Saturday"

Crew,

Just got off the phone with Charlie.

He needs twenty-four paddlers to paddle four canoes this Saturday, November 17th.

We'll meet at 1:30 PM at our paddling site. The ceremony is set for about 3:30 PM off of the Moana Hotel, and we should be back at our site at about 6:00 PM.

Thank you in advance if you are able to participate

Reaching,

Uncle Hut

We'll need to ensure that we have enough paddlers. Please call Charlie at 479-1202, or e-mail me at pailonao@yahoo.com

"Paddlers Needed For Pastor's Practicum Paddling Experience"

Aloha Paddlers,

Another ministry opportunity for us to give back to God and to our church is here!

Pastors from all over the country will be arriving in town this week.

Next week Tuesday, Nov. 20, we will be giving them a paddling experience. I will be needing experienced steerspersons and paddlers to help teach them how to paddle.

Let me know mailto:kanusounds@hotmail.com if you are available from 1pm to 3:30pm at our Sand Island canoe site on Nov. 20.

Mahalo,

Arnie
