“Breathe Concert—Clean Air for Everyone" Jan. 12

"Have A Great 2008, Come Out And Cavitate"

When I was out walking my dog the other day (actually, I think he thinks he's walking me), I noticed that my neighbor was doing the same, and that his dog had a cast on one of his back legs. The picture of a dog with a leg in a cast is one of those "O' pu'a theeng no?" moments.

The feisty feller seemed as rambunctious as ever, and surely would not let this temporary setback prevent him from his daily and always anticipated outside rollick.

Ya' know, the world can be a pretty beautiful place one day, and scary the very next,

Christmas, followed by the assassination of a patriot for democracy in India.

We hope that when you've come to the blog this past year, it brought you what you needed to know in a timely manner, and maybe it even made you smile along the way.

Live, laugh, love.

The cast will soon come off, and ultimately leave each of us stronger than before.

Believe that GOD is with you every day, each step of the way.

Share paddling with someone who never ever thought she/he would find themselves intentionally jumping off of a perfectly seaworthy boat in the middle of the Ka'iwi Channel in order to catapult themselves into a Hawaiian outrigger canoe to paddle hard for another hour or two, or more .

The ocean, it's the best medicine for whatever the ailment might be.

Paddlers vote (most of the ones I know anyway).

Don't pass up on the opportunity and privilege it is to have your voice heard, especially in a presidential election year.

Your vote matters, your vote counts!

Happy New Year!
