"Thank You Lord"

Thank You Lord,
For bringing all of the paddlers in yesterday's race home safely,
and for another beautiful Hawaiian day.
Amen
Congratulations to all four of our crews who competed and successfully completed yesterday's 9th Annual Kala'iomalulani Canoe Races, especially our long course open kane crew that endured and took third place in their division!
Our 50's mix crew took second place in their division in the short course race.
A big mahalo to race organizer Keahiakahoe Canoe Club. The Hawaiian food after the race was pau was terrific!
Very special thanks to Charlie, Blane, Cy, Clayton, and Sam for all of the pre-coordination, tying down, and the trailering of our canoes to three different locations in one day!
Our Na 'Opio paddlers will be competing for the first time in the 13th Annual George Perry Memorial Na Keiki O Na Wa’a Race this Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Kailua Beach Park.
The race is sponsored by the Lanikai Canoe Club, and will be a great opportunity for our kids to compete in a race before our regatta season starts next month.
Let's all support our young men and women by pitching in to make this race a fun and memorable experience for all.
The boat weighing/water lining of our new canoe is back on for Sunday, May 18, 2008, 7:00 AM, at Ala Moana Beach Park, we'll meet on the Diamond Head Side of the Koa Kai Paddling Site.
Ten to twelve paddlers are needed to unload and help place the canoe in the placid Ala Moana Park Pond. If enough muscle arrives on time, we'll be done by 7:30 AM.
Stay Safe, Stay Strong,
-Uncle Hut
